Michelmann et al. show that the phase of an 8Hz oscillation carries a temporal code of individual visual and auditory memories. The image shows an illustration of a brain remembering visual and auditory content. Sine waves shaped like neural oscillations indicate the relevance of oscillatory activity in coding auditory and visual memories.
