Shown is a frame from an animation depicting electrical activity recorded from the brain of a subject pressing a button in response to a visual target. So-called theta-band dynamics (i.e., at a frequency of approximately 4 Hz) recorded in the electroencephalogram (EEG) were found to originate from brain locations represented by the spheres. The cylinders represent coherent activity between pairs of locations. (See Makeig, et al.) Click here to view animation (4256 KB MOV).
