A little too trusting perhaps?

I wonder whether Sir Jeffreys recognizes that his trust in the way in which his work would be used by corporations (Monsanto) and government was not too trusting. It seems that if it can be done, moral or not, someone will do it. A wonderful discovery is often perverted and made into something evil.
