Unai Pascual
Professor Unai Pascual brings more than 25 years of international research experience in the field of sustainability and ecological economics. After 10 years at the University of Cambridge in 2010 he returned home to the Basque Country to became Ikerbasque Research Professor at the Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3). Unai works at the interface between global environmental change, including climate and biodiversity change, land use change, and institutional and economics. He has held positions in international scientific steering committees, such as Diversitas and the Global Land Programme. He also has ample experience in science-policy initiatives such as being member of the Multidisciplinary Expert Panel of IPBES, and co-chair of the IPBES Values Assessment. He has also had roles as associate editor for various academic journals in fields related to global environmental change and sustainability.
