The stereo microscope photo shows mature conidiophores on a hexaploid wheat leaf. This study compared the genomes of various isolates from the species of powdery mildew (Blumeria graminis) depicted in this photo, using pangenomics and population genetics. This research highlights the genomic diversity of this species that parasitizes on some grasses, including the variety of candidate proteins potentially related to its virulence.
