(Left) Aspergillus fumigatus is a well-known and major human fungal pathogen. The cryptic species (Middle) Aspergillus lentulus and (Right) Aspergillus udagawae can also cause human disease but may be difficult to diagnose owing to their morphological similarity to A. fumigatus.
