The PLOS "Monitoring Universal Health Coverage" Collection: Managing Expectations.
In this month's editorial, the PLOS Medicine editors introduce the PLOS Collection on Monitoring Universal Health Coverage. Organized by WHO and the World Bank, and peer reviewed by independent experts, the Collection explains the essential components of UHC and consists of an overview, five technical papers, and 13 country case studies on progress towards monitoring and evaluation of UCH in each country.
The editorial presents the challenges ahead in implementing, monitoring, and evaluating UHC.
