As a follow-up to this paper, the Stop TB Partnership's New Diagnostics Working Group (NDWG) has put together a new website resource called Evidence-based Tuberculosis Diagnosis, available at: http://www.tbevidence.org. Several agencies, groups and individuals have contributed to the development of this comprehensive resource.

This aim of the website is to provide the most comprehensive single source of evidence syntheses, policies, guidelines and research agendas on TB diagnosis.

Competing interests declared: I was the lead author of the 2008 PLoS Med publication, and an editor of the website www.tbevidence.org. I co-chair the Stop TB Partnership's New Diagnostics Working Group, the funding agency that supported the development of the site www.tbevidence.org.
