Used for benchmarking large networks with busyring in Arbor and CoreNEURON (STDP parameters are only used in Arbor). For CPU threads and MPI ranks, all combinations of powers of 2 from the given ranges were considered (the ranges were chosen according to the 64-core CPU of the HWS2 system).
