Envelope reconstruction of speech and music highlights stronger tracking of speech at low frequencies

(C) The combined effect of removing the moving average and using basis splines restricts the frequency content of the reconstruction to a three-octave range; for a 500 ms window, this is restricted from 2–16 Hz.
