After FBA optimization, the COBRA-based CBA protocol classifies ATP and NAD(P)H-related reactions according to whether these co-factors were consumed or produced during biomass, waste, target production or cellular maintenance. All models were initially unconstrained and simulated under both aerobic and anaerobic conditions.
