Models were assessed based on whether or not they could reproduce the observed effect for each simulated experiment (yes = ✔ or no = ✘), with observed effects defined in Table 1.
It is important to note, however, that this assessment does not account for the magnitude of the effect or whether a different set of parameters could reproduce the effect.
