Two examples of ARGs containing the minimum number of recombination events, R_min = 3, required to explain a sample of n = 7 sequences with m = 3 segregating sites. Both ARGs are minimal ARGs. However, only the minimal ARG at the bottom is an ultra-minimal ARG.
