Clarification on the Simmune Network Viewer from the authors.

In our description of the Simmune Network Viewer (SNV) under Related Work we stated that “like the AR graph, it shows both structures and rules, and it produces diagrams with much lower density (‘sim’ in Fig 10), but it obscures causal dependencies on internal states (S4 Fig).”

Although it is true that the summary diagram in SNV does not provide this information (as depicted in Figure S4(C)), the user can see these dependencies by simply clicking on the corresponding reaction arrow, so the use of the word “obscures” here is misleading and we apologize for any confusion.

Our main point was to say that the because the dependencies are not all shown simultaneously, as in the AR graph, it is more difficult to trace the signal flow from visual inspection of a single graph.
