The full name of the patent application is – “Process for the Production of Lactic Acid from Aspergillus, N.S. Punekar and Khyati Dave from IIT-Bombay, Powai, Mumbai. The C12 strain has been deposited at a recognized microbial type collection center (at NCCS Pune, India) as a prerequisite for patenting. Bayer Crop-Science is gratefully acknowledged for providing glufosinate ammonium (PPT). There are no further patents, products in development or marketed products to declare.
