A Bull Arab dog used for hunting wild pigs in north Queensland, Australia
Bull Arabs are a type of dog bred for hunting feral pigs in northern Australia. They are used to flush, locate and restrain feral pigs by biting onto the ears or back legs of the animals. This intimate hunting method puts them at increased risk for exposure to zoonotic infectious diseases such as coxiellosis, brucellosis and leptospirosis. Orr, et al. (2022)
