The illustration on left side demonstrates the association between Blastocystis and A1AT, while the photograph in right side shows the relationship between Blastocystis and Reg1B. The results were obtained by multivariable linear regression analyses after adjusting for the variables with p-values <0.20 in the univariate linear regression analysis. Herein, the fecal biomarkers, for instance, A1AT and Reg1B, were the dependent variables. A1AT, alpha-1 anti-trypsin; Reg1B, Regenerating Family Member 1 Beta; AGP, alpha-1-acid glycoprotein; EPEC, enteropathogenic Escherichia coli.
