Competing Interests
I have read the journal's policy and declare that SC Welburn, Paul G Coleman, and Kevin Bardosh have been supported by DfID in the form of consultancy to The University of Edinburgh in our academic capacity to undertake research to explore development of metrics for assessment of DIB success (relating intervention efficacy to impact on prevalence of rHAT). Support was provided from the Research and Evidence Division of the UK government’s Department for International Development (DfID). Paul Coleman received funding in the form of a consultancy from UBS Optimus foundation to develop metrics for a Rabies DIB. All work was undertaken on the basis that it will be published open access.
