There are errors in Eqs 1, 2 and 4. Please view the complete, correct equations here: (1) Vs is the injected sample volume, Vl is loop volume, and X∞ is the steady final plateau concentration, and ΔX = X∞ − X0.

(2) (4) Xexp is the expected X∞ (i.e. the steady final plateau concentration), and Xstn is the standard (sample) gas concentration of the injected Xs.
