Referral, screening, and enrollment procedure.
The medical provider will confirm patient diagnosis of FAPD and introduce the study. If a patient is interested, the research assistant will follow-up with the patient and caregiver (in-person at the clinic visit or via phone). The research assistant will perform consent procedures and complete screening measures that were not a part of the patients’ medical visit. After eligibility screening, the patient will be enrolled.
Fig 3.
Participants will be screened and if eligible, will be scheduled for a baseline assessment. Following the baseline visit, participants will be randomized to either ADAPT or a waitlist control group. Participants will complete a post assessment ~7–9 weeks from the baseline assessment. Participants who are part of the waitlist control group will be offered ADAPT following their post assessment as a clinical courtesy, which is detailed in the consent process.
