Chest compression techniques used in this study: A) Two finger technique; B) Two thumb encircling hands technique; C) Cross thumb technique.
Fig 2.
A rescuer’s location performing each chest compression technique.
2FT and CTT allow a rescuer to maintain the same position next to the patient’s chest and shoulder. With 2TT, the rescuer must perform chest compressions at the bottom of the patient. At the end of the compression cycle, the rescuer must move its position toward the patient’s head for ventilation. 2FT, two finger technique; 2TT, two thumb technique; CTT, cross-thumb technique.
