Fig 2.

Comparison of surgically difficult and uncomplicated DMEK cases in terms of ECD at 6 and 12 months.

The surgically difficult cases were divided according to the type of difficulty (difficult graft preparation, unfolding, or other). The data are presented as box-whisker plots showing the median, first and third quartiles, and maximum and minimum values. Kruskal-Wallis analyses showed that the four groups differed significantly in terms of 12-month ECD (p = 0.03). Mann-Whitney U-tests showed that 12-month ECD was significantly lower in the difficult graft preparation cases (p = 0.01) and tended to be lower in the difficult graft unfolding cases (p = 0.07) compared to the group with no surgery difficulties.
