BMI is body mass index, x is age, i is incidence, p is prevalence, m is mortality rate, w is disability-adjustment, q is 1-year probability of dying, l is number of survivors, L is life years, and Lw is disability-adjusted life years. ‘-‘denotes a parameter without intervention and ‘+’ denotes a parameter with intervention.
