Middle liver vein (purple line), and left liver vein (blue line) are used as a landmark to differentiate right liver lobe from left liver lobe, and left lateral liver lobe from left medial liver lobe on the level of the second liver portal, respectively (B). The line (green line) linking the inferior vena cava to the right branch of the portal vein is used as a landmark to differentiate right liver lobe from the caudate lobe on the level of the first liver portal (C).
