Animals were maintained at 22°C ±2°C (room temperature) or at 8°C ±2°C for 24 h (cold). Tissue samples were collected, mRNA prepared and analyzed by qRT-PCR. Values are normalised against either 18S rRNA or 36B4 expression and represent means +/− SEM of four animals in each group.
