In Experiment 1 the target could be tilted either 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4 degrees. In Experiment 2 the target could be tilted with any of these angles, determined by the participant’s performance in the practice trials. In addition the contrast of Experiment 2 targets was varied in nine log increments.
