Impact of peripheral artery disease on in-hospital mortality in subgroups.

Interaction analysis demonstrated that PAD had the stronger impact on in-hospital mortality in patients with CKD than without CKD and PAD was not associated with an increased risk of in-hospital mortality in patients undergoing PCI for silent ischemia, whereas it consistently increased risk of in-hospital mortality in patients treated with PCI for ST elevation myocardial infarction, non-ST elevation myocardial infarction, unstable angina pectoris, stable angina pectoris and old myocardial infarction. Plots and error bars are odds ratios of PAD for in-hospital mortality and their 95% CIs.
