Effect of compromising the BBB on the efficacy of Tazocin treatment.
Naïve or pre-immune (Tazocin 150+Vacc) rabbits were inoculated ICM with encapsulated Vollum bacteria and treated 6 hr post-infection with Tazocin at the indicated dose (mg/kg) by IV or IV+ICM (Tazocin 300+ICM). The results of Unasyn were added from Fig 4. Survival and time to death are shown.
