The upper panels depict of the probability of having all the molecules of converted to by means of the reversible reaction (25). The discontinuous line represents this probability as obtained with the full model and the continuous lines, those obtained with the reduced order model via balanced realisation. In turn, the lower panels show the difference of full model output and that of the reduced order model. The order of the lower-dimensional model for columns A, B, C, and D are , , , and states, respectively. The parameters used for simulations are as in Figure 1.
