For me, lucid dreams are not "how realistic they seem"

Hmm. For me, my lucid dreams I do not feel "wow, how realistic"--I know it is a dream and so conscious of it that I think energy is drained away from rendering the visuals and so they are not "how realistic." When I first heard about people talking about lucid dreams, I thought they were talking about dreams that were vivid, clear, life-like realistic and I wanted lucid dreams. I thought everyone could control their dreams and so this lucid talk was about vivid dreaming. Then I learned that lucid dreaming meant you know you are dreaming and can control them. I have had a few really realistic dreams, but they were very simple, static, and the moment I tried to inject a plot or action, that level of realism greatly dissipated. It was like going from from 4K hi-def Bluray to 480 VHS. I mean,, aren't non-lucid dreams the ones that are "how realistic they are" kind of dreams since you don't know you are dreaming and so think it is real?
