why CaS?

Thanks for this nice article on the effect of heat treatment on the survival of cells.

Could you comment on the use of CaS as a material for Bone Tissue Engineering? Nowadays, we know that CaP, Bioglass, or even silk, as promising materials for scaffolds favouring osteogenesis.

Could you guess what would be the influence of heat treatment on the release of ions? It is known that cells are sensitive to the ions of their environement. ICP measurements would be very welcomed.

Finally, it is know not so obvious the correlation between in vitro and in vivo results. In particular, some materials behave more appropriate in vivo than in vitro! Do you plan to perform in vivo experiments using these scaffolds? If yes, which heat treatment would you use?
