After the publication of the article, the authors regrettably found few minor errors. The authors take advantage of the commenting tool, to promptly inform the readers of the errors. Error 1. In the abstract section, the words "The homozygous variant genotype seen in affected dogs did not occur in 98 control Cocker Spaniels. Thus..." should read instead "The homozygous variant genotype seen in affected dogs did not occur in 188 non-affected control dogs. Thus.."
Error 2. The hyperlink “OMIA 001198-9615” mentioned at the end of the second paragraph of the Introduction should read instead “OMIA 001792-9615” and directed at https://omia.org/OMIA0017...
Error 3. In the line below the subheading “whole genome sequencing, variant calling” in the methods section, the words “a PCR-free genomic fragment library with 350 bp insert size was prepared which, and collected…” should read instead “we prepared a PCR-free genomic fragment library with 350 bp insert size, and collected…”
Error 4. The hyperlinks in the paper appear to be directed towards the http addresses rather than the current https addresses of the OMIA database (https://omia.org/).
