It has come to our attention that an important omission occurred in the article We wish the following corrections be made public: YMM506 should be referred to as EU3450. As correctly noted in Unal et al., 2008, EU3450 yeast strain contains both the smc3K113Q allele and wildtype SMC3 gene. Any other strain referred to in our article as smc3K113Q similarly retains SMC3. Both authors apologize to our colleagues for the omission and for any efforts predicated on pursuing results based on this omission.
