Actually, we are on the way to a righteous society

In a way, public shaming on the internet have the ability to make righteous societies. It is not perfect or ideal (e.g. it is punishing, and not just reporting; a single report can cause bigger effect than multiple reports, depending on time, context, and such), but if the society will harness the system, it might change society.
