A well deigned study

This is an informative, well-organized paper supported with solid evidence. Each conclusion was demonstrated with multiple genetic models, and the well designed experiments proved very convincing. I like how the authors carefully examined all the possible functions of piwi and their underlying mechanisms in a spatial & temporal manner in the fly ovary model. The effects of piwi on BMP signaling and GSC differentiation is intriguing and I would like to see more piwi related study in other animal models.
