I am the co corresponding author of the PLOS One paper the effect of soluble RAGE on inhibition of angiotensin II mediated atherosclerosis in apolipoprotein E deficient mice (PLoS ONE 8(8):e69669). Upon review of our published manuscript, we came upon a critical mistake in figure 3A. The representative oil red stain of the aortic sinus from angiotensin II(-) sRAGE(-) has been duplicated in the angiotensin II(+), sRAGE 2ug image. I, as the corresponding author, take full responsibility for the mistake. We have the correct representative image for the angiotensin II(+), sRAGE 2ug group and would like the opportunity to make a correction. We would like the opportunity to correct this mistake if possible. Now our data is under review for correction upon our request and it will take some time according to the notice from PLOS ONE corrections staff.
