I've been truly inspired by Ted and Cortney von Hippel's research article. Up until now there was no available research that found how much time it takes to write grant application. Although authors did a great job in researching the options how to maximize the chance of success in applying for government funding, the further drill down into the reasons of rejections may be beneficial as part of the future research.

The article inspired me to write a blog post and reflect on the most common reasons why government grant applications are declined. I invite authors and readers to comment at http://fairgrantwriting.c.... I wonder if there is a research that finds out how much each of 10 reasons contribute to the rejection.
