Author’s correction:

1. Table 2. The footnote must be: “The results are expressed as 2-Ct . Figures = 1 indicate that the gene is expressed similarly in both conditions (intracellular bacteria versus laboratory conditions), figures > 1 indicate that the gen is over expressed and figures < 1 indicate that the gen is less expressed in intracellularly.”

2. Page 6, line 9: in stead of “the three denitrification genes (nocC, nirK and glutaminase ...”, must be “the three denitrification genes (nosZ, nirK and glutaminase ...”.
