We recently learned that DivK is indeed an efficient in-vitro phosphotransfer partner for CC_0568 (Michael Laub, personal communication), suggesting that all these predictions might be correct.

The communication by Michael Laub actually concerned phosphotransfer between DivK and CC_1062 (CckN), and not for DivK/CC_0586. This result confirms earlier yeast-two-hybrid results [24] mentioned above, cf. also Fig.4. Therefore it does not provide another test for our prediction.
