Network dynamics

Dear authors,

in order to properly take into account network evolution, one would need a constrained dynamics. Mathematicians have already developed many tools based on stochastic process theory (see e.g. "Random graph dynamics" by R. Durrett). In your opinion what are the more promising approaches to network dynamics?
