Dear authors,
I read with great interest your work.
Nevertheless, I don't understand why our study involving 1111 patients, published in 2011 (Forget et al, Eur J Anaesth) is not included. This study is a relatively large one, and included a Cox model analysis considered as one of the best model we can use in retrospective works. This study has the originality to include, in the analysis, all the intraoperative analgesic. The absence of effect associated with the epidural analgesia was discussed in regards with the use of epidural opioids. This is important because these informations are often lacking in this kind of studies.
Readers would be interested to know what is the reason why this work, methodologically as quantitatively better than others included, seemed to be not considered.

Dear Patirc,
Thanks for your attention to our paper "The Effect of Anesthetic Technique on Survival in Human Cancers: A Meta-Analysis of Retrospective and Prospective Studies".
We noticed that your study emphasised on the influence of intraoperative analgesics. As described in our manuscript, our study focusd on the anesthetic technique.
After reading your paper carefully now, we found that your research also metioned the effect of epidural analgesia.
We are very sorry to miss this article, however, according to our search strategy, we did not find your article.
We will refer to your research in our future studies.
Thanks for your advice!
Sincerely yours
Chen Wankun
