The siRNA sequence used to knock-down Smc1 is not specified in the original text. Two siRNA sequences targeting Smc1 were used: GCUGCAGCUCUUUAAGCUU(dTdT) and that previously published by Musio, et al., [1]. Although we were unable to confirm the knock-down of Smc1 by western blot, transfection of either siRNA resulted in an identical, strong phenotype. The data included in Figure 4 were obtained using the published siRNA sequence [1].
