Only two different combinations can be found in Caenorhabditis elegans: eat-1, the previously described single gene “ALP/Enigma” homolog [50]

The eat-1 gene is a different gene than the alp-1 gene. Eat-1 has not been cloned. Alp-1 encodes the C. elegans ALP/Enigma family of proteins mentioned here (see Ref 50)
