Authors' comment regarding mislabelling of Figure 4B

The acyl chains and phosphate groups of lipid IVa bound to horse TLR4/MD-2 have been mislabelled in Figure 4B. Consequently, these moieties have been incorrectly referred to in the article.

The correct labelling of lipid IVa in the figure and referencing of this ligand bound to horse TLR4/MD-2 in the text is as follows:

- 1-PO4 should be 4'-PO4
- 4'-PO4 should be 1-PO4
- R2 should be R3'
- R3' should be R2
- R2' should be R3
- R3 should be R2'
