The Discussion section contains several instances of "pro-à1" and "pro-à2" chains. The appropriate designations are "pro-α1" and "pro-α2" chains.

The gene designation for the COL1A2 mutation used the numbering of the DNA sequence in the genomic reference sequence (NG_007400.1), and did not take into account that 5000 must be added to these numbers to get the true numbering. Our genomic designation (g.15941G>A) should correctly be numbered g.20941G>A. The cDNA and protein designations are correct and the published chromatograms ensure that the position of the actual mutation is unambiguous.
