These two papers are indeed related. Whereas Yichuan Liu and myself focused on the impact on disease related pathways of SNP presence in protein domains, the work you published with Anna Bauer-Mehren, Michael Rautschka and Ferran Sanz presents a much bigger scope and a strategy. I admire very much the huge effort that goes into developing a strategy for assessing the impact of nonsynonymous SNPs on cellular pathways.
