Circular flow rate

It would appear that the authors got their wrong estimates of illegal immigrant population by completely botching their handling of the circular flow problem. The 1-4% estimates of emigration after one year are strictly estimates of actually immigration. Since they count multiple entries as separate immigration events, they must add to the emigration rate an estimate of number of people temporarily leaving the country, which is almost certainly much greater than 1% for people here longer than 10 years and probably comparable to the number of people permanently leaving the country for the 1 to 10 year cohorts.
