Unfortunate ommission of reference to pre-existing work

It is unfortunate the these authors were not aware of work published in this *same* journal over 4 years ago... while it did not focus specifically on machine learning approached to allocate behavioral status there are large overlaps in the approaches...

Science should reflect a learning from previous studies, "standing on the shoulders of giants" as Newton termed it; thus is it unfortunate when authors publish without evidence of a basic literature review process.
