In between trials, we cleaned (soap and bleach), rinsed, and dried the chambers to remove all odor cues.

Even if this is a standard treatment, the claim that it removes 'all odor cues' detectable by the species tested requires further support.

We were not sure if it remove 'all odor cues' detectable by the species. However, our protocol should control errors among trials.
