Competing Interests

NZ performed the major part of this project as an PhD researcher at the University of Groningen. ADIvA and RT report grants from 7th Framework Programme of the European Union, during the conduct of the study. PNB and LCK are minority shareholders in Metabolomic Diagnostics, a company that seeks to develop screening tests for preeclampsia based on analyses of metabolites.; RT is employee of Metabolomic Diagnostics, outside the submitted work. MJP reports grants and personal fees from various pharmaceutical industries, all outside the submitted work. MJP holds stocks in Health Ecore and Pharmacoeconomics Advice Groningen (PAG Ltd) and is advisor to Asc Academics, all pharmacoeconomic consultancy companies.
